2. Annual Conference for Media Relations Professionals

The Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) will host the Annual Conference for Media Relations Professionals from March 1st through the 3rd in Washington, D.C.

Social media directors, managers, and writers will learn how to make their messages stand out on social media platforms and leverage the media environment to their institution’s benefit.

In addition to comprehensive information and sessions on social media, the conference will also highlight:

  • Media relations strategies
  • Crisis response and issues management techniques
  • How to land placements through the national press or local media outlets

There is also an optional Media Training Workshop on the first morning of the conference that will help volunteer leaders develop their communication delivery skills and create messages for different formats.

Prices for the conference range from $870 to $1,320 depending on when you register and whether or not you’re a member of CASE, and registration is only open online. The Media Training Workshop costs extra, as well.

3. Content Marketing World

Like INBOUND, the Content Marketing World 2016 Conference is a large gathering of individuals from a variety of industries. They offer a nonprofit track that allows nonprofit professionals to discuss various content marketing strategies, including using social media!

2016’s Content Marketing World will be held in Cleveland, Ohio, from September 6th through the 9th. While specifics about the conference speaker lineup have not yet been released, the last event highlighted:

  • Mobile content plans
  • Storytelling techniques
  • Online videos
  • Content marketing integration with social media platforms

The Content Marketing World Conference is expecting over 4,500 attendees in 2016 with nearly 250 speakers. While online registration is not yet open, past prices have ranged from $1,730 to $2,495 depending on what time of year participants signed up.
